Production Blog- A.K.A Material Girls
Now that Loudui and have most of the clips. We were going to start the process of editing. The last project we did we used was iMovie. We had decided against the idea of using this software again because the commercial was boring. There really wasn't much that we could do editing wise with this software. So this time around we decided to use a software called capcut. We decided to use this because since Loudui was sort of familiar with it she knew that there would be more options editing wise. Since Loudui had the most experience with this software, she was going to edit. While I would just tell her what looks good and what doesn't Most of the videos were recorded on our friend/teammate, Nene. So first first I looked through the videos I had on my phone and seen what looked good quality wise. Once I seen the ones that looked reasonable I sent them to her. So now she could at least have something to start with. After this I made sure to tell Nene which videos to send Loudui. She had took a lot of pictures and videos that day so I kind of had to refresh her memory on which videos were for our project. Once she sent them that's when Loudui started to edit. While she was editing because we just happend to be in class when Nene sent the videos. When she was working on the intro we were going to have this clip to like present us a.k.a The Material Girls into the video. She showed me some font options and asked me what what kind of fit the video. After looking, studying and debating. I chose this big, bold, gold font that kind of looked like it would be in the front of a comic book. I chose this one because it would grab someone attention and would make you want to watch the whole thing. That was all that we happend to finish that day and I think this is going to be a great video.
