Intro Blog

 

Hey, Im Keanah Thomas. I joined this AICE Media class back is August. And I think i have incredibly grown since then. I have created 2 filming projects since then. First  I created a Commercial. Before doing this I did already kind of have experience from my 7th and 8th grade film classes. But i will say it was still a challenge. Then I created a Music Video which i had so much fun making. The music Video was way more challenging then the commercial. but I will say I had more fun creating it. Anways enough about this and more about me. Im in 10th grade. And im 15 turning 16 in May. My favorite color is purple. I love to cook and make new things. Im on the Flag line for the band at my school. My favorite class is definitely French and Eurythmics.

 Now that Loudui and have most of the clips. We were going to start the process of editing. The last project we did we used was iMovie. We had decided against the idea of using this software again because the commercial was boring. There really wasn't much that we could do editing wise with this software. So this time around we decided to use a software called capcut. We decided to use this because since Loudui was sort of familiar with it she knew that there would be more options editing wise. Since Loudui had the most experience with this software, she was going to edit. While I would just tell her what looks good and what doesn't Most of the videos were recorded on our friend/teammate, Nene. So first  first I looked through the videos I had on my phone and seen what looked good quality wise. Once I seen the ones that looked reasonable I sent them to her.   • Common Camera Angles in action Action Films?  Usually there’s an establishing shot to basically set the tone and setting of where the adventure is going to take place — lots of close ups shots, to dramatize and put emphasis on what is going in the film. Mainly grabbing  the audiences attention and adding more attention to what’s happening — there’s always some point of view shots, in moments where something exciting or in action is happening, giving the audience the feel that they’re actually their experiencing it since it’s a view from what the character is seeing. —  • Common Mis-en-Scene in Action Films?  Bright, Bold saturated lighting along with it sometimes being dark toned, greyish on intense fight scenes. props usually containing weapons like guns and/or knives.  I’m Working on this music video project with Loudui. I decided to work with her because we are both in auxiliary together, and she is the person I know most in the class so I would feel more comfortable working with her. I think if I work to buy myself I wouldn’t really put in the amount of work I should. I feel like I drive better when I’m in a group in certain situations. Not all the time I feel like I do better in groups. Say if it was like a paper assignment, and you have to like write something I don’t think I would be able to do so well with another person. But since this is like a music video I think it would be a whole lot harder than it should be to do it by yourself. Because for say you need somebody to record the Music video if you were going to be in it. Or you would need somebody to be in the video if you wanted to record. I feel like it would just make more sense for me to personally work with another person. I also feel like for this project it would be more efficie...
